Coach Laska became head coach for the boys cross country program at Tosa East in 2014. Previously, he served as the boys assistant cross country coach from 2011-2013, as an assistant track coach from 2012-2014, and as boys head track coach beginning in 2015. As a high school athlete (Wauwatosa East), Coach Laska was a state qualifier in cross country and track. As a collegiate athlete (St. Norbert College) he was a MWC All-conference cross country runner and set school records in the 3000m steeple chase (9:30.33) and as a member of the indoor DMR (10:35.78). Laska anchored back to back Indoor Midwest Conference distance medley relay champion teams ('10, '11) and was the 2010 Outdoor Midwest Conference 3000m steeple chase champion and 2011 Indoor Midwest Conference 5000m champion.
Under his guidance there have been 48 athletes to earn all-conference honors, 3 individual conference champions, 9 individual state qualifiers (including a 4th place finish in 2015 and 12th place in 2018), and 4 teams have qualified for the state meet (17th place 2011, 14th place 2014, 10th place 2017, 3rd place 2021). Tosa East has a 52-25 record in GMC conference competition since 2014.

Assistant Coach: Kolton Otterbacher
Coach Otterbacher joined the staff in 2020. He ran cross country in high school for Muskego. Ask about his running streak or visits to National Parks.
Assistant Coach: Maxwell Radcliffe
Coach Radcliffe graduated from Tosa East in 2020. He competed in cross country and track. Radcliffe is a four time state qualifier in track (2018 4x4, 4x8; 2019 800m, 4x4, 4x8) The 3rd place 4x800m relay team currently holds the school record. Radcliffe's senior season of track was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Assistant Coach: Henry Wellenstein
Coach Wellenstein graduated from Tosa East in 2019. He competed in cross country and track. Wellenstein was a five time state qualifier in track (2018 4x8, 3200m; 2019 4x8, 1600m, 3200m) The 3rd place 4x800m relay team currently holds the school record. He is also a three time state qualifier in cross country (2016, 2017, 2018) and had a best finish of 12th place in 2018. After high school Wellenstein studied cognitive science and Hispanic studies at McGill University in Montreal where he competed in cross country and track.
